Is Failure Really a “Bad” Thing?
No One Wants to Fail
Failure Does Not Feel Good
When we are born we are “Failure Free”. That is the only time in our life that we are Perfect.
From the first moment of existence in the real world we are inundated by opportunities to fail. We learn to crawl through numerous failures to get off our stomach and backs. We learn to walk by repeatedly failing down.
We learn not to put our hand on a hot surface, not by our parents warning us, but by the “Pain” of not heeding the warning.
The Fact that You are Reading this Blog
… Is a Testament to your Failures in Life
You learned to walk and even run. You probably don’t intentionally touch hot surfaces.
You have experienced countless failures to accomplish something the first time you try. You turned those “Failures” into “Successes” and can not even remember the failures.
You are NOT Defined by Your Failures
… You are Defined by Your Successes
Your ability to succeed
is directly related
to your willingness to fail!
Your Career Failures
Your failures in your career and personal life create opportunities for wisdom.
Failure does and should always hurt. Pain is nature’s way of telling us that something is wrong.
Failure is not the “End Game”
… Failure is the Natural Progression of Success
You should never be afraid to fail. You should never protect yourself from the possibility of failure. If you do you have shielded yourself from the possibility of success.
You should Never accept failure as an Option and you should Never be comfortable in not taking a Chance to Fail.
If you are ever in an environment that has a “Zero Failure” policy:
Be Afraid … Be Really Afraid
While it is true that Success Breeds Success, failure only breeds failure if you are not open to fail.
Failure creates wisdom, as you learned when you touched the hot stove as a child. If you remove opportunities to fail, you remove opportunities to succeed.
All you Successes in Life
… Have Come from your Willingness to Fail
Embrace the Opportunities to Fail
We have all failed in our careers and our personal lives. Hopefully these failures created enough pain that we did not want to fail in that way ever again.
By the way, I have misspelled “failure” three times in this Blog.
I am really going to try to make sure that I do not “Fail” in that way again.
Your Major Accomplishment with Success
… Is Confirmation of Your Willingness to Fail
The real point of this Blog is that successful people “Run Towards Success” and not “Away from the Possibility of Pain” from failure.
Failure creates the opportunity for success!
Be aware of falling into the “Comfort Zone” trap.
If you proceed through your day in the comfort that you have no possibility of failure you have an unhealthy comfort zone.
You have removed the possibility for wisdom through failure.
Be Sure to Have Opportunities to Fail Everyday
… You Will Open Opportunities for Success
…… And the Wisdom that Failure Provides
You do not have to “Fail” to be successful.
Failure should be the Exception not the Rule but you should never “Fail to Seek Success” by having the “Fear of Failure“
The Fear of Failure
… Is a Self Fulfilling Prophesy
Wisdom Pearl # 135 – What is Failure?
Success Breeds Success
… Failure Spawns Wisdom
…… Success is the Child of Wisdom
