What is a “Sense of Purpose”?
The Definition of Sense of Purpose:
“Your Sense of Purpose are the Things in Your Daily Life that gives you the Strength You Need to Get Out of Bed in the morning with the Knowledge that the Day May bring Unwanted Challenges: But You are Prepared for Them“
– Brad Huett
Your ability to have a renewed commitment to the things in your daily life every morning and excitement to the priorities in your life is your Sense of Purpose. The most important item on your Action List each morning is the assessment of the requirements for your Sense of Well-being.
The Sense of Well-being Components must be evaluated for compliance each day. Actions must be taken to remedy any threats that are present. This must be done before any actions of other priorities in your life, including your Professional Technologist commitments, are taken.
When evaluating the criteria for your own personal Sense of Purpose we can start with creating a list of items that need to be managed. Item management means setting a priority to each list item. It also requires assigning actions to the list items.
A Successful Sense of Purpose Requires Disciplined Actions …
… Discipline is NOT Restrictive …
…… It is Liberating
